The final episode finds the artists up on lifts again in Bethlehem PA for the Southside Arts & Music Festival before heading back to NYC for their gallery exhibition in NYC.
In Bethlehem DOTR partnered with Arts Quest to create the largest mural in Bethelem PA. The Team created an image that harkens back to Bethlehem's steel history. During the festival the team also hosted a street art workshop for the youth.
Back in NYC the Program hosted their final Exhibition in Chelsea. The exhibition featured artwork created during the trip and a wall of "Road Relics" found or created during the journey.
In Florence Alabama there was Quiet. No waking up early to get to a wall, no rush to hit the road, no schedule to follow, in fact, no plans needed. The team stayed with DOTR friends and famous tattoo artists Ulyss Blair and Eva Jean on their beautiful lakeside property.
The Team took the moment to relax and create artwork for their gallery exhibition in NYC before RVing back to the hustle & bustle of a city, Atlanta GA to paint a mural for the Graveyard Tavern.
Episode 2 finds the team down south ripping through Asheville NC and Nashville TN.
The Team parked up behind the next mural location in Asheville NC, Desoto Lounge where they would spend the next days painting a mural sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon and camping out back.
In Nashville the Team went HUGE for a well known bar The Crying Wolf sponsored by PBR and parked up in front of the bartnders' house down the street. NAshville was a wild ride of work, BBQ, music and parties.
After the resident artists and team got acquainted in NY and the RVs packed up it was off to Washington DC to paint the first three murals of the trip.
First up, a mural for Pabst Blue Ribbon in The Pinch, a local performance space and bar. The team then made their way across DC to the Fridge Gallery to paint the second mural.
One of DOTR's sponsors, Artist & Craftsman Supply, is located in DC and the team visited the store pick up a few extra supplies and paint a small mural.
Season 2 features The Spring 2017 Program and resident artist Kit Mizeres & Lauren Asta. The Program traveled through the South starting in NYC and creating art in Washington DC, Asheville NC, Nashville TN, Florence AL, Atlanta GA & Bethlehem PA before returning to NYC for the gallery exhibition.
Another epic trip.
